It only concerned those who are using the i2Theme (Right edition). The error concerned will caused the bullet icon on each right sideboxes to disappear.

To fix it, just replace it with the file: dbx-key.js

Today, on the April 1st, 2008, I would like to release the next big theme, i2Theme. It’s not an April Fool joke. It’s a real thing. If you don’t believe, you can check it out here.

So why do I need to come out with i2Theme when original iTheme is made available by Nick La? Two reasons; Firstly, a request made by some of you, which makes me to ponder for a while. I did a check on the iTheme by Nick La that leads me to the second reason, no further development since version 1.1.

Thus, I spent a few nights transferring all the features I developed for i3Theme and put together a new theme, i2Theme. I believe it’s going to benefit everyone who loves the mac-like design and prefer a 2 columns instead of 3 columns WordPress theme, i3Theme.

Hope you will enjoy it and if there is any feedback and comment, feel free to voice it out.

I followed exactly the upgrade instructions and, to my disappointment, the download path continue to point to the old folder instead of the new folder. I thought it was the .htaccess, so I opened up the file and everything seems right. I contacted Dreamhost support and as usual, their quick support was quick and helpful. However, they can’t trace the errors as .htaccess has no problem at all.

So today, I finally took some time out to go through the code and debug it. Guess what, it’s in the DATABASE. The table prefix_DLM_DOWNLOADS stores the fix path to the filename, so the .htaccess has no effect and keep pointing to the old folder. Sigh, I have to manually edit every single row to point to the new folder.

What a waste of my time. For those who are still facing the problem, do check your database table and correct the path. Hope you did not waste your time like I did.

I’ve been thinking, how should I start giving it out…

Why not share with me how you use i3Theme? I love to know how everyone modify their theme. I guess the first 6 i3Theme users who post on this forum with a sentence of what they do to mod the theme and a screenshot, will get it.

Thousand apologies. I forgotten to insert the “Site Admin” meta link in most of the themes. I only did it for Classic Center and Midnight Blue Center.

Please re-download the i3Theme 1.6 again. I have updated the latest copy. It’s too troublesome for me to release a new version. My bad.

However, if your i3Theme is already version 1.6, you can just do a simple modification to the code. Just click on this forum link. There’s a step by step guide.

After much thoughts, I feel it’s time for me to start a forum to properly support i3Theme as well as other future products and services. Comments have been rather inefficient in answering all the support questions. Hence, I would advise everyone to jump over to the forum for your questions on bugs as well as suggestions for improvements.

As Christmas coming, it would be a great gift to present to all the i3Theme fans and here it is: the i3Theme 1.5. Nothing major has changed except that I have fixed quite a few bugs and guess what? It’s now compatible with version before WordPress 2.3. I hope this is a great feature for the non-english WordPress as I believe they are a little behind the english version.

Not only that, I have finally fixed the major problem in IE6 where widgets or images that larger than the sidebar width will pushes the rest of the boxes or main content down. Hope everyone will have little problems with this new release.

Below’s a list of changes made:

• SEO-friendly header title
• Enable hierarchical structure for category’s sidebar (for Widgets, use the ‘Categories’ widget)
• Bug Fixed: (Only in IE6) Information overflow in the sidebar destroy the layout
• Bug Fixed: Next/Previous link display the same [special thanks to Jamie]
• Bug Fixed: Category icons missing when using Widgets’ categories
• Bug Fixed: Unable to work in WordPress 2.2 or lower [special thanks to mat]

Lastly, I would like to announce that i3Theme has 19,648 downloads since the first release of i3Theme. I hope by Christmas, it will hit the 20,000 mark.

Here it is, the next release of the i3Theme, version 1.4. I’m sorry that it took quite a while for me to come out with this release as I was busy finishing up my project assignments as well as preparing for my upcoming final exam.

So, you might be asking, what’s new and what’s fix…

1. Availability of author credential of each post
   Now you will be able to see whose the author of the post. Thanks to Ken’s request and donation.
2. Improved blog header title with better navigation information
3. Able to handle multiple rows of the sub-navigation page (click below to enlarge)
   
4. Able to handle 2 times (over 2000px in height) the current maximum number of items in the box
5. BUG FIXED: Wrong function name used, bloginfo() instead of get_bloginfo() [original iTheme code]

Anyway, what I like is the new design, it seems like Microsoft is gearing all their designs towards the Vista kind of Aero outlook. I guess they want to create a uniform new identity like what Mac has. Looks good.

For a few months, my i3Theme page has always been loaded with 100 over comments. To date, I have 250+ comments. It’s frustrating to wait for it to load if the connection is slow.
