I know is a little late for a release for WordPress 2.5. I would like to apologize for that as I'm very busy with my current work at Silicon Valley. Thankful, I found some time to work on the new release. The improvements might not be a lot but it's worthwhile a new release. Hope you would like it.

So what's new in i2Theme 1.1 and i3Theme 1.7?
Gravatar Plugin support
Giving new identity to your blog readers. It's a cool stuff to have. Enhance your reader to give their feedback as well. Hope you like it. You have to download Gravatar Plugin to enable this feature.

Pings are now separated (click to see the screenshot)
Yup, finally, it's separated. It even support the famous Paged Comments, of course, with a little hacked. Please download the plugin from MangoOrange instead. I have sent my modification and hopefully the author will include it in the future version. Till then, you have to use the hacked version. No worries, the changes are minimal.

WordPress 2.5 CSS Element support
The newly added CSS elements alignright and alignleft has been used to usually float images left and right of the post. Many having issue of no padding causing the image to stick closely with the text. No worries. It's all fixed now.

What's the status of the i2Theme and i3Theme?
Currently, there are over 58,000 downloads. Woohoo! Thank you everyone for the support. I will continue to work hard to try to cater for everyone's demand and suggestions on improving the theme.

A few days ago, I've upgraded the download monitor by Blue Anvil and it caused me a big headache thanks to the author's initiative to rename the plugin's folder from wp-downloadMonitor to wp-download_monitor.

I followed exactly the upgrade instructions and, to my disappointment, the download path continue to point to the old folder instead of the new folder. I thought it was the .htaccess, so I opened up the file and everything seems right. I contacted Dreamhost support and as usual, their quick support was quick and helpful. However, they can't trace the errors as .htaccess has no problem at all.

So today, I finally took some time out to go through the code and debug it. Guess what, it's in the DATABASE. The table prefix_DLM_DOWNLOADS stores the fix path to the filename, so the .htaccess has no effect and keep pointing to the old folder. Sigh, I have to manually edit every single row to point to the new folder.

What a waste of my time. For those who are still facing the problem, do check your database table and correct the path. Hope you did not waste your time like I did.

It's been quite a while since I updated MangoOrange and I decided to do some internal upgrades on the WordPress as well as the plugins. In the midst of it, I found an awesome plugin, the one that I've been looking for, WordPress Paged Comments.

For a few months, my i3Theme page has always been loaded with 100 over comments. To date, I have 250+ comments. It's frustrating to wait for it to load if the connection is slow. So, I hope it's better for everyone after I've upgraded it. Feel free to pop over to check out the latest update on the i3Theme as well.

This is definitely an additions to my plug-ins list.

I have been always wanted a list of Wordpress plugins to help those who wish to enhance their Wordpress sites. There has been a few of you asking where I got some of my plugins. So I decided to churn out a list to share with everyone.
