ffwd LogoSome goodies for TV/Movie lovers. I gotten to know a friend who work in this startup and he invited me into the private BETA. As usual, it comes with free invites. So I would like to give away 6 free invites. :)

I’ve been thinking, how should I start giving it out…

Why not share with me how you use i3Theme? I love to know how everyone modify their theme. I guess the first 6 i3Theme users who post on this forum with a sentence of what they do to mod the theme and a screenshot, will get it.

All given out. Thank you to those who share your mods. Continue sharing it ;)

I’ve often met situation where my friends complained to me that the Microsoft Office 2007 automatically “upgraded” their Microsoft Office 2003 without seeking their permission. It’s not a bad thing to have something new and nice to play with. Afterall Microsoft Office 2003 has been around for “ages”, it’s boring to keep looking at it. I personally preferred something new and fresh. As for some, they preferred things that “just work”.

Microsoft Office 2007

Anyway, the biggest reason why people wanted to continue to stick to their Microsoft Office 2003 is because of the recent makeover of the Office File Format. They called it, OpenXML. If you happen to be using the new Office, all the Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files ends with an extra “x” to their extension, i.e. (*.docx, *.xlsx, *.pptx). So it’s frustrating that you have to always remembered to Save As (*.doc, *.xls, *.ppt) because the rest of the world aren’t using Office 2007 yet.

I love this typing software, DarkRoom. I’m using it as I’m working on this article. What it actually do is full screen your typing screen and make your focus on just typing and not shifting your attention to checking email, IM, RSS, etc.

I think it works for me. I’m happy to share with everyone here. For Mac, there is WriteRoom. Infact, the author of DarkRoom, intentionally clone the WriteRoom as there are no alternative for WriteRoom. :) Lovin’ it.

It just irritates me when I see others creating their Table of Contents the wrong way or when I remembered that I used to be one of them. We often filled the dots manually and this usually makes the numbers appear not align together due to the uneven width in the fonts.

Not only that, by doing manually, you often face the problem of keep reordering the content title when you reorder the page or change the page number. Such work can result in you overlooking some errors.

Sample of it below:

Table of Contents, please…

In fact, there is a much better way which is efficient yet easy to use…
