i3Theme has been and will continue to be a great success, with over 40,000 downloads to date. It’s been a wonderful time for me to build and maintain the theme.

Today, on the April 1st, 2008, I would like to release the next big theme, i2Theme. It’s not an April Fool joke. It’s a real thing. If you don’t believe, you can check it out here.

So why do I need to come out with i2Theme when original iTheme is made available by Nick La? Two reasons; Firstly, a request made by some of you, which makes me to ponder for a while. I did a check on the iTheme by Nick La that leads me to the second reason, no further development since version 1.1.

Thus, I spent a few nights transferring all the features I developed for i3Theme and put together a new theme, i2Theme. I believe it’s going to benefit everyone who loves the mac-like design and prefer a 2 columns instead of 3 columns WordPress theme, i3Theme.

Hope you will enjoy it and if there is any feedback and comment, feel free to voice it out.

New Windows Live Messenger 8.5 - SmallIt appears that Windows Live Messenger didn’t really announce a new upgrade to their new look, which they usually does through the notification on the instant messenger. Fishy… Or maybe I didn’t get the notification.

Anyway, what I like is the new design, it seems like Microsoft is gearing all their designs towards the Vista kind of Aero outlook. I guess they want to create a uniform new identity like what Mac has. Looks good.

Keep up the good work. You can click on it to take a closer look. ;)

Yup, that’s right. Paypal has officially introduce a new set of buttons. They says that “They’re (referring to the buttons) bold and colorful. Designed to catch the eye of customers – and increase sales“. My opinion, they are ugly and difficult to read. Oh well, I prefer to stick with the old ones.

A picture is worth a thousand words. (click on the image for a full screenshot)

Still don’t believe that it’s true? Check out this link.

Adobe Photoshop CS3Have you ever encounter a situation where after you have done with your art work on Photoshop, you tried saving by clicking “Save As” but there isn’t any option for JPEG?

I did and thankfully, I found the answer. Just make sure your file is saved as 8bits/channel under the Image > Mode. Simple. :)

I know this topic kinda “yesterday” but I think majority are still in it. For myself, I always see it happen but never once I sit down and read through people’s idea about web 2.0. Today, I finally decided to find some time and go through a few articles about web 2.0. It’s very well written and it does help me to have a much better understanding of web 2.0 designs.

Here’s a list of them:

  1. Current style in web design by Web Design from Scratch
  2. The visual design of Web 2.0 by Pixel Acres
  3. 2.0 Culture by Naked IT

If you guys have more articles on Web 2.0, do share with me. :) Hope you guys like this list of articles.
